Abstract: Flexible work arrangements (FWAs) represent a crucial phenomenon of today's digital society, where companies face various internal and external challenges that compel them to analyse and implement different forms of flexible work arrangements. These arrangements help companies to overcome challenges and positively influence employees' attitudes and behaviours. Employee performance refers to behaviour related to the efficiency and quality of task execution, including creativity, efficiency, productivity, accuracy, and overall contribution to company goals. High employee performance (EP) often results in a better business outcome, innovation, and competitive advantage for the company. This study investigates the relationship between flexible work arrangements and employee performance in companies from Serbia, utilizing a sample of 582 employees. The SmartPLS program was used for the analysis, employing the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) method. The results indicate a positive direct effect of flexible work arrangements on employee performance. This finding underscores the significance of implementing flexible work policies to enhance productivity and overall performance in the workplace. The implications for management and policymakers are discussed, highlighting the potential benefits of adopting flexible work arrangements in the Serbian business context.

Abstract: The complicated dance between the decision-making (hereinafter: DM) process, which is shaped by the individual psychological constructs and internal cognitive processes, and the methodological process of strategic management (hereinafter: SMP), which can be understood as a framework that defines decision context, raises pertinent questions about their coherence. The purpose of this study is to propose an integrative model of the strategic decision-making process (hereinafter: SDM), which links the cognitive processes of decision-makers with the rigour of strategic management and identifies and mitigates potential risks at each stage of the holistic process. To design the research, we used the "model paper" approach which seeks to build a theoretical framework that predicts relationships between research concepts. The developed comprehensive model connects four independent concepts, creating a holistic framework for SDM in organizations. The comprehensive model reveals a high degree of consistency between the SMP, knowable decision-making cycle and cognitive processes. Throughout the entire process, decision-makers need to be mindful of the interplay between System 1 and System 2 thinking. While System 1 thinking may provide quick insights and initiate creative thinking, it is important to complement it with the deliberate and analytical reasoning of System 2 thinking, which can be supported by a proper application of different strategic management tools and methods.

Abstract: This paper investigates how demographic factors (gender and age), and contextual factors (length of team membership and work type) affect communication, shared values, collaborative growth and improvements in agile software development teams in Serbia. Empirical research was conducted using a specially designed online questionnaire which consisted of profile questions and three highly reliable scales focusing on agile software development team communication, shared values, and collaborative growth and improvements. In the period from April to October 2024, a total of 107 agile software development team members from Serbia participated in the research. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics, the Mann-Whitney U-test, and the Kruskal-Wallis H-test. The findings reveal no statistically significant differences in communication, shared values, or collaborative growth based on age, length of team membership, and work type. However, a notable gender difference was observed, with female team members reporting a higher level of agreement on shared values within their teams. These results underscore the critical role of gender dynamics in fostering a cohesive team environment in agile settings. Understanding these dynamics is essential for enhancing team collaboration and performance, suggesting that organizations should consider gender inclusivity when developing agile software development teams.

THE ROLE OF IT PROJECTS WITHIN THE STRATEGY: HOW EFFECTIVELY DO WE USE THEM?
Károly SZABÓ, László SZABÓ
Abstract: It is a general trend that the role of projects is increasingly appreciated in the life of individual organizations. We have come to the point in the last decade where certain organizations use this method for their entire operation, while large companies implement their priority developments only with project management methods. The project management knowledge is becoming progressively essential also in the case of smaller businesses nowadays as they come into contact with projects through their partners or their own experiences. Although the methodology is constantly spreading and growing, so far, there have been just a few scientific results about where IT projects are located in the organization's goal-system and how they are related to the corporate or organizational strategy. Accordingly, the basic goals of the IT projects will be examined in the framework of the current research, and the questions about that, are these goals related to the corporate strategy and how effective are the individual companies using their IT projects?

Abstract: Globalization demands the importance of environmental awareness and sustainability to achieve competitive advantage, including Batik Jogyakarta SMEs in Indonesia which are required to implement environmentally friendly business practices. This study aims to analyse the effect of green intrinsic motivation, green communication, and green compensation on employee performance. To answer the research objectives, the sampling method is random sampling, with quota sampling techniques, and data collection with Google Forms. The model used is the Structural Equation Modelling (SEM). To test the hypothesis, using an analysis tool with the rho test, validity test with the Convergent Validity test and loading factor, discriminant validate test with Fornell-Larcker Criteria, reliability test with Cronbach Alpha, Composite Reliability and AVE, and all using SmartPLS software version 4. From a sample of 158 respondents, the results are that Green Intrinsic Motivation and Green Communication have a positive and significant effect on Green Employee Performance. However, Green Compensation is not proven. The practical implications of these findings are the importance of strengthening sustainability strategies by integrating challenging environmental activities into daily work, improving communication, and developing innovative reward systems to create a more environmentally friendly work culture and empower employees to contribute to sustainability.

DECENTRALISATION AND BEYOND: THE IMPACT OF BLOCKCHAIN ON GLOBAL ECONOMIES, BANKING, AND GOVERNANCE
Mohit SHARMA, Sanjay PATIDAR
Abstract: The Fourth Industrial Revolution has ushered in groundbreaking digital advancements across biology, materials science, and computing. Among these, blockchain technology emerges as a key innovation with the power to reshape economic systems and business operations. While blockchain offers solutions for critical digital needs such as user verification, data security, and intellectual property management, its widespread adoption remains constrained by a limited understanding of its benefits. This research explores two primary areas: the sustainability of crypto exchange systems and blockchain's governance implications in our digital economy. Moving beyond Bitcoin, the study examines blockchain from both broad economic perspectives and organisational levels, viewing blockchain-based entities as global institutions. It analyzes blockchain's potential as a decentralized governance tool, assessing how it creates value and enables effective governance while potentially preventing financial fraud. The study also compares different countries' approaches to cryptocurrency regulation. The research methodology combines two methods: a comprehensive review of academic blockchain literature and an analyses of blockchain community discussions. It also includes ethnographic research, examining the governance structures and challenges within DAOs ( decentralised autonomous organisations).
