The Teaching and Scientific Council of the Faculty of Technology "Mihajlo Pupin" Zrenjanin remains committed to meeting student demands and condemns all attacks on the academic community. Considering that Article 101, paragraph 2, item 2) of the Law on Higher Education stipulates that a student has the right to timely and accurate information on issues related to studies, and that Article 96 stipulates that a higher education institution is obliged to inform students on important issues in an appropriate manner, in accordance with its general act, accurately and timely, we inform all students studying in study programs at the Faculty of Technology "Mihajlo Pupin" Zrenjanin that April 22, 2025. is the last day for the continuation of the implementation of the 2024/2025. academic year at full capacity. After the above date, the Technical Faculty "Mihajlo Pupin" Zrenjanin will no longer be able to implement the teaching process, examination deadlines, as well as other academic obligations in accordance with applicable regulations and in a manner that would guarantee the legality of work. There are chances that all of the above will still be implemented after this date, but only with certain changes to the current regulations and/or a later start of the next school year, which is, in any case, uncertain and depends on special decisions of the competent Ministry.
In the event of the impossibility of implementing the school year, according to the regulations in force on 01.04.2025., there is a real risk of negative consequences for the status of students, such as:
1) renewal of the year for all students,
2) loss of the status of a student financed from the budget,
3) loss of the right to student scholarships and loans,
4) loss of the right to student dormitories and meals, etc.
There are also numerous dangers to the functioning of the higher education institution itself.
At the Technical Faculty "Mihajlo Pupin" Zrenjanin, since January 2025, several variants of compensation plans for classes and exams have been prepared, and the latest current ones are compensation plans starting from 14.4.205 or from 22.4.2025 (which would be adopted through a change in the official work calendar).
